CSE Accounts

CSE Labs accounts are available for all students who are currently enrolled in the College of Science and Engineering. To obtain a CSE Labs account, fill out the Online Account Creation Form. See the Accounts page for more information.

CS&E Accounts

Complete the Computer Science Account Request Form and return it to CS&E Main Office, Keller Hall 4-192. Accounts may take up to a week to be created, although they are usually created in less time. Once the account is made, you username and password will be available in the CS&E Main Office. Be sure to bring a picture ID with you when you pick up your account information.

General Student Email Account

If you have a US Social Security Number and choose to disclose it, you can open an account online at Student Account Initiation. Otherwise, go to any of the OIT Computer Lab with a picture ID and fill out an Account Request Form.

You can open an account online by completing the CSE Labs Account Creation form.

Usage Policies

CSE computers are for instructional use. Research work does not belong on CSE computers. If you need additional computing resources to do your research, talk to your faculty adviser instead of using the CSE computers.

If you want an CSE labs account, send email to operator at operator [at] cselabs [dot] umn [dot] edu - we will open one for you.
