Offsite Access

You can connect to CSE Labs or CS&E computers offsite through SSH; an offsite access tool that allows you to connect to a terminal on one of our computers through your home computer. You can also use NX to remote desktop to a CSE Labs Linux machine. There are many clients for various platforms listed on the SSH page, or check out Graphical Access for configuration instructions. You cannot connect to Windows computers via SSH, however you can access your Windows Home Directory through Unix, see Mounting a Windows Home Directory for more information.

For CSE Accounts

You can connect via SSH to any of the UNIX machines in the CSE Public Labs. Here is a link to the CSE Machine Listing.

CS&E Accounts

CS&E users are allowed to connect to any of the UNIX machines in the grad lab as well as any other machines to which you have been granted access. Look at the CS&E Machine Listing for a complete list of machines.
